The following resources have been created to better prepare for emergencies that could take place in the classroom.
Syllabus Language – Faculty members should visit the WashU Center for Teaching and Learning to ensure use of the latest syllabus template. The template includes a section on Emergency Preparedness.
Faculty Guide to Emergencies – This brochure features general preparedness tips, as well about evacuations and sheltering during an emergency.
Quick Reference Guide for Emergencies – This guide is posted in many classrooms across the Danforth campus. If it is not posted in the room where you teach, and you would like to request that it be added, please contact your department.
Training workshops for faculty members were developed through a joint effort by Emergency Management, the Provost’s Office and the Teaching Center. Training is available upon request.
